Our New Studio Shop - Fleur Envy Boutique

I know I should be updating my blog more often, well, consider this as my 2014 new year resolution then! :)

I do hope that Fleur Envy friends from near and far can get updates, encouragements, motivations and inspirations from the content published in the Fleur Envy's blog. So follow our blog and stay tuned to loads of fun and excitements coming your way!

Ace and I have decided to start our first studio shop in Bunbury, a beautiful and peaceful town in western Australia. We looked at so many places and finally found one that is just perfect! It's my dream spot actually, our little studio boutique overlooking a bay where the view is just spectacular and we can occasionally see dolphins (mom and tot) swim by. Coincidentally, a art gallery and glass jewellery boutique started business along this lovely jetty road just two weeks ago. Well, I do hope that this beautiful lane will slowly evolve into a cradle for art and design in this small town. Just perfect!

Our studio is ready and in use now, but we are still in the midst of renovating and preparing for our shop opening on 1st June. How exciting! Our shop will be a showroom for our gorgeous range of handcrafted jewellery, where you can catch a glimpse of us crafting the pretty trinkets right at the studio. We will also stock plenty of other handmade lovelies, crafted by artists and designers from local and around the world. Hence, there is definitely something brewing in this little boutique of ours, so do follow us to see how things will get into place! We really hope you are as excited as us. :)

It's the season of GIVING again! :)

I am usually pretty excited when Christmas is approaching. Christmas being such a beautiful holiday with such meaningful gesture and thought for your loved ones. It is a wonderful time when close relatives and friends gather together, catch up with lives and happenings, strengthen their relationships and present their blessings for the new year ahead. I will be far from home this Christmas but my heart remains with my loved ones in Singapore.

I vividly recall my stay in states last year, this time. Black Friday is something really HUGE in United States. Well, for the benefit of those who are not so familiar with Black Friday, it is the day after Thanksgiving day. Some people use this to make trips to see family members or friends who live in other areas or to go on vacation. Others use it to start shopping for the Christmas season.

There are two popular theories as to why the day after Thanksgiving Day is called Black Friday. One theory is that the wheels of vehicles in heavy traffic on the day after Thanksgiving Day left many black markings on the road surface, leading to the term Black Friday. The other theory is that the term Black Friday comes from an old way of recording business accounts. Losses were recorded in red ink and profits in black ink. Many businesses, particularly small businesses, started making profits prior to Christmas. Many hoped to start showing a profit, marked in black ink, on the day after Thanksgiving Day. Well, pretty interesting ya!

I will be hosting weekly giveaways in Nov and Dec and I thought it would be great to kickstart the "giving" mood for the upcoming festive season. Each giveaway will start on all Mondays in Nov and Dec and winners will be announced the following Monday and I will disclose the prize for the giveaway at the same time.

I have been sorting out the little tokens to be given away and have decided to start the ball rolling with "Audrey". This extremely lovely trinket has been well liked by many and I hope it will bring smile to someone (well, could be you!).

Audrey comes with a beautiful fully customized circular disc and a tiny puffed heart charm. It is perfect for any couple who would love to have their wedding date, birthdays, proposal date, etc or even for moms who would like to have their children's names stamped on the round disc. Anything stamped on this disc will be so important to the carrier and dearly remembered at all times. The thought is just so beautiful :) Well, let me know if you would prefer Audrey in 14k gold plated or rhodium white gold plated and of course, what you would like to be stamped on the disc.
